Geese, Geese and More Geese!!!!

One of the things Robert and I love about where we live is how close we are to the wildlife. We have a pake (pond/lake) behind our house and we usually see deer, geese and cranes, and turtles. Sometimes we'll even see deer out in the front of our house across the street. We have tons of geese though. Hammy loves to chase after them and we get a kick out of watching him. Especially when he's chasing them and they are flying over head. You can't tell him he'll never catch them. He just keeps trying. Us humans could learn a lot from him. Never give up on your dream, even if it seems over your head, just keep on trying..... :)

I think Robert and I counted over 30 geese in the above pic. I couldn't get all of them on here.

And with my really cool camera that Robert got me, it's like we're right there with them.

Then there's Hammy who loves to go out with us and tries to get them. Robert actually would like to see Hammy tear after them, but we try to be nice. :)

Jewelry

I have gotten in to making jewelry. Anyone who knows me, knows I love jewelry (plus, shoes and purses :) ). Just ask my hubby!

Here is the 2nd necklace I made. It was part of a kit, but all I used it for was the beads and kind of an idea on the design.

For my sister-in-law's birthday, Lee, I made her a Southwest necklace. She loves anything indian and southwest colors so I made her a necklace with turqoise beads and silver and black. I thought it turned out really good and the cross just added a finishing touch.

Yes this has become a hobby that I love to do. Got another one in the works and will post when I finish it. I've had people commenting and now I have orders to fill. :) I'll eventually have to start selling these. :)

Riverfest!!

Well Robert and I had our first true experience of riding a bus to Riverfest, letting our oldest and her friend walk around WITHOUT us, and sitting in the rain to just earn the parent's of the year award..... ha ha!!! Riverfest is a big festival that Little Rock and North Little Rock puts on to celebrate Memorial week-end. We went to War Memorial stadium, and paid $2 round trip for each of us to ride the bus to downtown to Riverfest. These are coach style buses, air conditioned and really nice!!! It made it so worth it! Hardly had to wait on a bus for one, and two we didn't have to deal with a headache of parking downtown. Here are some shots from the bus ride.

This is Sara Jean and Shelby. We love having Sara Jean with us. She is a good kid and we would keep her all the time if we could! They were so excited to be going and getting to see Hinder in concert. This was Saturday night. The weather wasn't too hot, and it only sprinkled a little bit.

Ashley & Harley on the bus.

I snuck this picture of Ashley. I thought she looked so cute and funny at the same time. :)

Robert and I...... :)

Here's a pic of the lead singer in the band that Shelby and Sara Jean really like (on the right hand side, not the black guy :) ). This is Hinder. I really like a couple of their songs.

We went back on Sunday, by the bus again. It was raining, but the girls were in hopes of seeing Flyleaf and 3 Doors Down. I got tickled hearing an old lady on a cell phone say "We're over here where 4 Doors Down are going to be playing." I really wanted to say "Uh you've gone 1 door too many. It's only 3!!!!" ha ha!! Okay maybe you had to be there for that!

Here's Robert in the rain.

Here's me in the rain.

Here's Harley & Ashley in the rain. I thought their little set up was quite cute!

I took one of the crowd too, to show how many people STILL showed up even though it was raining. We waited probably an hour and a half. Flyleaf was suppose to start at 6:00 p.m. and by 7:40 p.m. they hadn't started playing and Robert said enough was enough. Shelby wasn't too happy, but luckily we found out today that Flyleaf and 3 Doors Down ended up cancelling around 8:15, not too long after we left. We didn't feel so bad and at least we tried!

It was so muddy up around the stage area. I wish I would've taken a pic of Shelby because her and another friend of her's got into a mud fight. OH well! What a day!

LOCKED OUT!!!!

Well today was not an exciting day for me! I was able to get off work early, and Hammy was groomed today so I had to go pick him up. I then called Robert and told him I was going to stop by my best friend Teresa's house to get her mail since her and her family are out of town. I get to Teresa's house, get out, car still on, and shut the door to keep Hammy from getting out. I got the mail was coming back to car and Hammy is scratching at the window. His paw landed on the door lock before I could open it and he locked me out.

Car was still running, cell phone was in the car and my keys, and all the doors were locked! Uurgh! So I went to one house, and I rang the door bell. I could hear kids and dogs barking but no one ever came to the door. I walked two houses down past my friends and there was a man in his garage working on fixing his glasses and watching TV. I explained to him what had happened and he handed me his cell phone. I called my darling hubby who works downtown and doesn't get off work until 5:30 and it was 4:50. He wasn't too pleased obvious, but he said he was on his way. Thanked the nice man and walked back to my car. Hammy still scratching the window, and silly me is trying to get him to maybe hit the roll down window button or hit the lock switch, nothing! So I waited..........

Luckily I had my friend's mail so I just looked at her sales ad and watch the blue birds play in the water. Finally my hubby (knight in shining armor riding a red horse) came down the road to save me!!! I now know either roll down the window or unlock all doors before leaving Hammy in the car next time.

Needless to say I can't stay mad at this cute face. Who could!

*The pics above with Hammy are AFTER we got home and I had to take pics to go with the story..... HA! :)

Graduation Day for Harley

Well my Harley graduated from 6th grade today! This is our last year at the elementary. She'll be going out to the high school. :) I'm so happy, but it's bittersweet. It's been a safe place for us and Harley has had the same Educational Therapist since 2nd grade. So we're praying for great teachers and great Educational Therapists as well.

Harley got a certificate because they were celebrating the kids that have been there since K4.

This is a pic of Harley getting her diploma and book. The book was "God's Word of Life for Graduates". I thought that was really special. Sorry about the pic. I had to take it off of the screen due to so many kids standing up.

Harley & her class mates after getting their diplomas.

I had to add this pic. I think Harley looks so beautiful!

I'm so proud of you Harley! Keep up the good work! I'm excited to see what the Lord has in store for you! Loves you!

Oh Hammy Days!!!

It has been raining so much, that poor Hammy has had to get baths more then he cares too. Usually we just have to wipe his feet off when he comes into the house. But when he REALLY runs in the back yard the pics tell it all! See the pics you'll understand!

I'm Baaaaaack!!!!

I'm such a bad blogger. I know I've said this before, but it's true here lately. We've or shall I say I, have had so much going on. I will try to post what we've been up to below this post slowly but surely.

I have to owe a HUGE thank you to my darling husband, my best friend. My job has been really stressful over the last few weeks and I have to say I work for the 3 best guys in my office. My dad ALWAYS steps up for me, and now having the other two step up and take care of the problem children, I mean men, that meant a lot to me! The two problem kids, I mean guys, lost their sales assistant and I was her back up. They never asked if I would, they just assumed I would help out. So I was working for 5 brokers! I'm very big on customer service and this was eating into how I have treated my dad's clients over the last 14 years, and what they have come to expect of me, and how the new clients of my two new guys would be serviced. I just felt stretched to the max.

My husband has stood by me and has held me as I cried, has laughed with me as I sarcastically sent an email to my 3 guys one day (had to be there), has wanted to defend me and just loved me unconditionally through all of this. Just knowing that my man will fight for me is all I need some time. Just knowing I'm worth that much to him. I can so easily see the relationship I have with my Lord, is so close to the relationship that I have with my husband. They both love me unconditionally and that my Lord died for me, to fight for me, to save me. I know Robert would fight for me and worse case he would die for me. The way I feel about it, that's the way it's suppose to be.

So thank you Robert, my wonderful husband. Thank you for being my rock when I needed you the most. Love you!

Geology Bowl Championship

Harley participated in the Geology Bowl at school. Her team did so well and won each time that they got to participate in the Geology Bowl Championship! I had to go and watch. I was so proud of her and her classmates. It was really neat!

There were two teams. They would come up to the table and there were the two bells. The teacher read the question and whoever ringed in the fastest got to answer. There were 100 questions total. Whoever ringed in the fastest got a question and then if they got it right they got a bonus question to earn more points.

I DID IT!!!!!

I completed my VERY first 5K!!! I was so proud of myself. I think my hubby and kid's were proud of me.

Robert decided to have some fun and took a pic of me coming out of the porta potty. Everyone knows how important it is to go pee before walking 3 miles..... :)

And then there was this pic of me and him.

My hubby the kidder!!!

I had to have a pic with me and the girls.

Can you find me?

How about now?

Crossing the finish line with my friend Susie. Oh how excited I was.

Susie and I with our ribbons.

Here's my time. I was VERY proud of it. I have another 5K next week-end so I hope to beat that time even if it is 53:59. :)

I am so proud of myself!!! I proved that I could do it! Happy Mother's Day to me!
