Romantic Get Away With My Man!!

Robert surprised me with a week-end trip to Hot Springs. I knew we were going somewhere, but had no clue where. Oh I guessed, Eureka Springs, Branson, Mount Magazine, and Memphis and Robert just shook his head and laughed and said "You're not even close." Boy I wasn't!!! We had such a good time, relaxing and just enjoying being with each other. We really needed this.

Can't talk about our trip without posting a couple of pics of our room and such. LOL!!

This picture does not give the tub justice! It was absolutely huge!!

Saturday morning we got and went to the tower that overlooks Hot Springs. Robert got some great pics. It was windy, which made it cooler. So the first pic you can tell we were wind blown..... ha ha!

Here's a shot of Magic Springs from the tower:

Downtown Hot Springs shot:

We played 3 rounds of miniture golf (18 holes each)! We had so much fun! We also rode the go carts, fun fun!!! We ate at some neat places and had great ice cream!!

On Sunday we went to Garven Gardens. If you've never been it's worth the trip. Enjoy the pics below!

Here's a pic of Robert by a tank that was in a park we saw.

And lastly, Robert always takes our pics when it's just the two of us. I had to add this photo as a funny.

Thank you my darling hubby for getting us away for the week-end! Love you!

Michael W Smith & Steven Curtis Chapman

Robert surprised me and took me to the Michael W Smith and Steven Curtis Chapman concert. It was absolutely AWESOME!!!! Robert got some great close up pics of them and the stage. We were 10 rows back. I'm telling you I love this camera!!!

Here's a few pics of Michael W Smith.

Here's a couple of Steven Curtis Chapman:

Here's some stage shots:

It was so awesome! Steven Curtis Chapman has aged since his daughter's death, but his faith is so strong. It was obvious as he stood there and told the story again (no telling how many times that made it), and you can still hear and feel the strength of faith of him and his whole family. I enjoyed it very much and of course being with my wonderful hubby made it even better!!!

Shelby Has A New Look

Well Shelby wanted me to color her hair a light brown. I bought the stuff and I think it turned out REALLY great if I should say so myself. :)

Here's the before pics:

How cute is she??? I could just kiss her just like I did when she was my baby!

Here's the back of her hair.

Here are the after pics. Ready????

Here's another back hair pic...

She's just so excited in this pic. I think she was tired of me taking pics.....

Oh Shelby, I pray that you remember these special times and special chances that we have taken together. I enjoy our talks and our laughter during all of this. You're still my baby girl.

By Your Side

Things have been emotionally hard and I'm still dealing with changes at work. I can't go in to details on the emotional side. Things have just been so chaotic. When I posted a couple of weeks ago "Walking Through A Valley" I had wanted this song to go with it. It's appropriate that it should go with this post. I have posted the lyrics as well on the right. Will post more later.

I Finished A Project!!!!

Okay, my darling husband would tell everyone that I am bad about starting a variety of art projects, but not finishing them. Well I finished painting a Welcome sign. In fact, this was in my mother-in-law's art room, that she never got to paint. I felt honor to finish a project she didn't get to begin.

Here's a somewhat before pic. I had already done some before I thought about taking a pic.

Here's a more close up pic.

Here's the finished product.

An upclose pic.

I hung it by our front door. Hope you like it!

Lazy Hammy Sunday

Hammy, our boy, is lazy EVERY Sunday. It's like his day to chill out. He just looks at Robert or I and you know he is wanting you to sit down or lay down so he can lay down and take a nap. He's so funny! I had to take pictures of how our Sundays are with him. :)

Robert is holding him in these pics.

Lazy boy!

Oh he woke up! Believe me he went back to sleep! ;-)

Landscaping

Well Robert and I had a really busy week-end. We landscaped our two flower beds in the front of our house. I didn't get the before pics or us working. I just wanted you to see the end result. :)

Robert took these pics last night. We are sooooooooooo sore today (or at least I am). Even my fingers hurt. We had to rip out the green metal edging and then I had to dig a small trench and Robert came behind me with the bricks. He would level the brick either by taking dirt out that I didn't dig enough or adding dirt. We did two rows of these bricks. While I was gone to Lowe's to get our new low voltage lighting, Robert and the girls cut and laid down the visqueen under the first row of bricks. Robert and I then used the liquid nail to attach the 2nd row of bricks to the bottom row. We then laid out our lights where we wanted them and our two spot lights.

The spotlights worked out really well!

So today we did the smaller flower bed in front of our big window.

Here's the bigger flower bed that we did yesterday.

Here's pic of what our new lights look like in the day time.

Robert and I are really proud of our work. We didn't even fight during this two day project. A lot of high fiving! :)

Walking Through A Valley......

I've had a very hard past two days. Two of my FA's (father and daughter) left the firm today. I found out last night so that's why I say two days. Plus, they let go one of my friends at work who had been there 20+ years. I'm just very sad to see my 3 friends go even though I certainly understand. I did not sleep at all last night until about 5 this morning. I spent much of the night in prayer. I felt that God needed me to meet Him there.

God has been taking care of me behind the scenes. Isn't He amazing???? This is my first real recognized testimonial how God has had a part in this all the way. I took on two more FA's early in the week, who are willing to pay me extra and I was stressing at the load of working for 5 brokers instead of 3. Louis & Syd were paying me extra before they left. So there's where God stepped in. We have a big tax refund coming which we normally don't get a big one. God stepped in for the lagged time between the extra pay. Plus, Louis was kind enough to give me a big bonus before he left. Again God is there.

Right now my Savior is carrying me. Funny how I got a devotion today to sum it all up. The title???? Walking Through A Valley. I am amazed how God finds a way to talk to me. And He is carrying me as I walk through this valley, the valley of unknown.

So yes, today has been a sad one, but my faith is in the Lord.

"Send forth your light and your truth, let them guide me; let them bring me to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell." Psalm 43:3
