Bummer Braces

Well today Shelby had her ortho appointment and we thought she would be getting her braces off. She ended up not getting them off (we're now hoping Feb. 3rd). I was excited and got some before shots, and well since she didn't get them off I thought I would still post our funny pics.

I thought this was a cute pic of Shelby.

A fun pic!
Mom and daughter!
So to make Shelby feel better I took her to lunch at Fulins. She loves their Chicken Fried Rice. We're keeping our fingers crossed for Feb. 3rd!

Merry Christmas!!!

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, and hey St. Nick did come! :)

We have learned with our girls that they now want more expensive things instead of toys, so thereforth the presents become less then less to cover those expensive things. :)
Shelby's favorite thing was getting Rock Band 2 for the Xbox 360!

And Harley's favorite thing? Her new cell phone that's in her favorite color GREEN and can take pictures! :)

Ashley came home from her mom's around 12 and opened her presents and things were rocking along to get ready for our family Christmas party. Ashley's favorite thing was her new TV w/ DVD.

I'm learning to enjoy these Christmas' more and more knowing that one day my girls will be having their own families and so I cherish these moments more and more.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Shelby's New Look

I took Shelby to get her hair color with some streaks of dark brown and blonde. I was happy that she stayed with this hair color (she originally wanted black streaks). Trying to get her a new look before her braces come off December 31st FINALLY!!! Poor thing, they were suppose to come off on the 16th and we had the ice stuff and her appointment got cancelled. So I thought we would go ahead and get her hair done and then her braces will be off before we know it! She was also not feeling well so the pics are not too cheery I guess. :) My mom also got her's done but she threatened to kill me if I posted those pics. :)

Before Picture.

The beginning.

I wonder if she's questioning what has she gotten herself into?

Getting all pretty is a lot of work right Shelby? No wonder she's not a girly girl! :)

After Picture.

The picture does not do her hair justice! It's really cute!!!
So which one do you like more? See the difference below!

Harley's A Pre-Teen!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY BABY GIRL!!

Harley's Birthday Cake - Made By: Daddy

Okay I was trying a new thing on my new camera, but it didn't quite work. But at least you can tell Harley was blowing out her candles.
I put these cute lighted up snowmen out just for her birthday!
Front of our house.
Harley got money. One of favorite things! Duh!
Harley got lip gloss! Her other favorite thing! Harley got a Nintendo DS game "My Secret World". Really neat!

Perhaps one of Harley's special gift of the night was all the makeup I got her! I have a rule in my house and that's no makeup until your 12th birthday. Shelby is my tomboy doesn't have to be like everyone, and Harley is the girley girl! She was sooooooooooooooo excited to finally get her hands on makeup that she can wear daily now. Now I just got to teach her out to appropriately apply it. :)

Happy Birthday my little girl! Know that only God could love you more then I. I am so honored to be your mother and that God chose me to be yours. You are very special and never forget that!

Love Mommy

Smith Barney & Franklin Elementary

I have to say I work with some really great people! Third year running, Smith Barney sponsors 3 kindergarten classes at Franklin Elementary. These kids do not get a lot and it's an honor to be able to bless these kiddos when we have so much. We do a Khaki for a Khause where we get to wear khaki's once a month and donate $5. Each quarter we pick a cause to donate this money that we raise. For Franklin Elementary we raised over $350 AND that's not counting the countless gifts for the kids. We each got to adopt one or two or three kids to go shopping for. They wrote letters to Santa of what they really wanted for Christmas, plus we got their clothe sizing as well. Here are some pics below of the festivities at work. I didn't get to go due to Harley's Christmas party. :)

People in my office. I'm 4th from right in black.
Some of the gifts.

More gifts.

Nancy, Jenine, and Jeff (Santa)

Tom (branch manager) and Jeff (Santa)

He played the role well and danced well from what I hear! :)
May we all keep the spirit of giving!

Harley's School Christmas Party

Not only was it Harley's birthday, but it was also last day of school before Christmas break AND her classroom's Christmas party!!!

I got these really cool cupcakes in a shape of a Christmas tree. Harley's birthday is so close to Christmas that she is a Christmas baby!

The class played Pictionary/Charades and unfortunately the boys won. Bummer!

New Toy & Cookies & Such......

I got an early Christmas present! A new camera!

My other camera would not give me a good enough zoom, if you recall the pics from Harley's band performance. So here are some new pics below with it. I even re-took some of our Christmas decorations so you could see better details.

Above our front door.

Our Christmas tree

We added ribbon to the tree this past week.

Our front room lights decorated.

Our light above our dining table that Robert did soooo well on!

Our gift boxes above our cabinets.

Now you can see it closer.

Robert's snow village.

Our fireplace mantel.

Harley stayed with Aunt Lee this week-end and they decorated sugar cookies! Here's the finish work!

My first picture with the camera had to be Hammy! :)

My 2nd picture of my precious baby boy!
We had homemade chilli tonight for dinner that I made. Hammy got to have some too as you can see on his face!
