Christmas Decorating Already???

Robert and I were kidless this week-end. It was also the first week-end in a looooooong time that we didn't have anything planned nor a set schedule. Robert and I got the Christmas decorating bug. We had a great time coming up with ideas and going shopping. Of course Robert told me before going into a store that he loved me and this was the last time he would be going shopping with me until after Christmas. ;-) I have to give him credit though! Here is the results below..... (This was also on top of me getting sick, thanks honey!)
Robert & I were going through our ornaments and I found this cute little antler hat that we had gotten Jake (our ferret) one Christmas. I thought Hammy looked cute and funny!!! We laughed and laughed!!!

This is Robert's specialty. He always does a GREAT job setting up our Christmas village.

Some of our new deco's came from my mother. Per the Santa, sleigh, reindeers and some of the deco's on the fire place mantle.

We decorated the top of our cabinets this year. Robert did an awesome job displaying the gift boxes that we bought at Garden Ridge 50% off!!!!

This was my only big request and I think Robert did an awesome job!!! :)

Can my hubby decorate or what???

More decorating. We even changed the colors on our candles to red and green! Don't know if you can see it or not.

We hung up our snow flakes!

Robert decorated above our door where we have a window with more villages. Thank goodness for his height!

Our foyer area.
Perhaps my favorite was decorating our Christmas tree. This year I got to mix in some of my mom's ornaments, and as always Robert's mom's hand made decorations are ALWAYS on our tree! It's our way of keeping her memory alive.
Our favorite ornament I got last year for Robert for his parent's states "A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands put to rest; God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best." I think this really says how we feel!
Merry Christmas everyone! Let's all remember those we've lost, and those we have, and remember the greatest miracle of all!
