1/2 Marathon - I DID IT!!!!!!

I completed my first 1/2 marathon!!! For those of you who do not know how far that is..... 13.1 miles!!!! I still can't believe I did it. I got my first medal!! Can't wait to do another one.

We will not talk about what happened after the race..... Ok, maybe I will..... I got sooooooo sick!! About the 8th or 9th mile, my stomach muscles were cramping up big time..... But I finished and that's all that matters!!!



I have to thank my hubby and kids for their support during my training and during the race. I also have to thank my mom and dad for their support as well.

Hand And Foot Halloween Decorations

Here are a couple of pictures of our decorating for our Hand And Foot Party coming up this Saturday, October 17th! :) Don't want to give it all away! :)

Since Hand and Foot is a card game we thought it would be cute to take this skeleton and make him look like he is tied up and has the worse cards you could get. Which is the red 3's. They are automatically a negative 500 points! OUCH!


This skeleton looked very excited so we decided to give him the best cards!

ARHA Gala

Tonight was ARHA's Gala - Arkansas Respiratory Health Association. My best friend Misty went with me. :)

My dad is the Past President of the board. He served for 3 years as President. I got to be in a couple of pictures with him. So be looking for me in Inviting Arkansas and Soiree or something like that! :)

Family Trip

Well Robert and I are on vacation this coming week. We decided to celebrate early by taking the girls to Hot Springs for the day.

We went to Pirates Cove which is minature putt putt... So much fun.

If you ever get to go to Hot Springs, and love pizza you HAVE to try out Rocky's Corner. It's a hole in the wall pizza place, but it is awesome! It's right across from the horse tracks. The girls couldn't figure out what the fuss was until they took that first bite! :) They are now huge fans!

Too Cute for Words

Guess Who's Learning to Drive???

Oh yes we have started this adventure!!!! She actually picked up really well. Her daddy is teaching her how to drive in these pics. He said she did really well. She only got a little too close to a fence, but corrected it easily. She only had to be reminded to apply the breaks when she came to an intersection.


Yes it's hard to believe our 15 year old can start driving now!! Oh my!!!


Well now we're going to have to start titling these "Adventures in Driving with Shelby". :)

1st Day of P90X!

Well this morning I was up at 4:53 a.m. Yes you read that right! Did the Core Synergistics and it was awesome! 57 minutes workout! Granted I couldn't do as many reps, but absolutely loved it! My favorite was the banana roll..... ha!


Yes I did this move this morning!!

Tomorrow is Cardio X. I will post about that later. It's only 43 minutes HA!!!

Happy Birthday Shelby girl!!! She's 15 today!!! If you want to be technical she'll be 15 at 9:53 p.m. I love you Shebby girl!!!!

P90X Begins

Well after walking for 6 months (still going), and after working out with the Wii Active and Cardio Gold Gym, I have decided to start a new workout. This is called P90X. Some of you might have heard of it and some of you might not. My understanding it's called Muscle Confusion and you do something different each day for 90 days. This keeps from plateauing and keeps you interested.

So starting out they want you to take before shots. Then in 30 days, I'll take another set of photos, then 60 days, then the 90 days. You should be able to tell amazing results by then. I have researched this and looked at YouTube videos and I'm convinced this might really work!

I'm so embarrassed to show these pictures to everyone, BUT I need help in keeping me accountable. So please send me your comments and encouragement.....

Shelby Is Turning 15!

My baby will be turning 15 tomorrow. Seems like she should only be 5.....

Today we had a family birthday party. Next week-end she is having friends come over and go bowling, and that will be her other birthday party.

We made her birthday cake. Floyd tradition..... I think it turned out great!
